How do I arrange for Airport Pickup?

The ELS Central Admissions Department arranges the airport transfer, but the Counselor will need to provide important information about the student.

Please follow the following 2 steps:

Step 1: 

Please have the following information regarding your student:

  • Student name (ELS ID number is also requested - if known)
  • ELS Center location to attend
  • Airline name (for arrival into the final destination)
  • Flight number and airport name (or code)
  • Port of Entry into the USA (if different from final destination)
  • Anticipated time of arrival and date

Step 2: 

After collecting all of the information from Step 1, please email these details to your ELS Central Admissions Advisor.

    Domestic: In front of baggage claim Students will meet their driver inside the terminal nearest to the baggage claim area. The driver will have a sign stating the student's name as well as the ELS logo. if the student cannot find their driver, they should contact the APU company immediately
    International: Outside of International Terminal/Customs Exit Information Desk outside of customs

    Students on domestic flights will meet their driver inside the terminal nearest to the baggage claim area. Students on international flights will meet their driver outside of the international terminal/customs exit. The driver will have a sign stating the student's name as well as the ELS logo. If the student cannot find their driver, they should contact the APU company immediately at 1-909-493-0912

    Other Transportation from Airport

    Taxis from LAX will cost about $140 plus tip, with a travel time of 60 to 90 minutes. Students can also arrange their own transportation on Super Shuttle, Tel: 1(800) 258-3826 toll free at a cost of about $55 per person plus tip. From ONT airport a taxi costs about $55 plus tip and takes 25 to 30 minutes. Super Shuttle 1(800) 258-3826 can be arranged from this airport at a cost of approximately $27 per person plus tip.

      Please call the Resident Advisor (RA) on Duty (number is posed on the window next to the entrance) once you arrive to the Oaks Residence Hall and they will assist you with the check in process. You will be issued your room keys as well as bedding package upon arrival. Oaks Residence Hall is located at: 2150 First Street - La Verne, CA 91750

    Center Registration

    On the first day (Monday) of registration and orientation: All new students should arrive to the center at 8:15 am to register for classes, and attend orientation. Students will be emailed a link to the Placement Test prior to arrival.

    If a holiday falls on a first Monday, ELS Centers will be open only to register newly arriving students.

    • Proof of medical insurance (if not purchased through ELS)

    Immunization Requirements

    We encourage students to be vaccinated against Covid-19 upon arrival to the ELS La Verne Center. However, if students are not, they will be escorted to the nearest vaccination site on the first day (Monday) by ELS staff to get the vaccination free of charge
