How do I arrange for Airport Pickup?

The ELS Central Admissions Department arranges the airport transfer, but the Counselor will need to provide important information about the student.

Please follow the following 2 steps:

Step 1:

Please have the following information regarding your student:

Student name (ELS ID number is also requested - if known)
ELS Center location to attend
Airline name (for arrival into the final destination)
Flight number and airport name (or code)
Port of Entry into the USA (if different from final destination)
Anticipated time of arrival and date

Step 2:

After collecting all of the information from Step 1, please email these details to your ELS Central Admissions Advisor.

Other Transportation from Airport

Taxis from Orlando International Airport are not recommended because they are very expensive - over $200 average.

Hiring a Uber to the campus costs about $75 from MCO

ELS strongly recommends the use of the ELS Airport Pickup Service for arrivals into Orlando International Airport.

Taxis from Melbourne International Airport to the FIT campus (to "Dorm Circle" off of Country Club Road at Florida Institute of Technology) will cost approximately $15 plus tip, with a travel time of ten minutes. Therefore, we do not offer airport pick-up service from Melbourne International Airport.

	Check-in: Students should contact their Host Family at least 48 hours prior to arrival to introduce themselves and arrange their arrival plans.

	Check-in: Upon arrival, for check-in all students should report to the Security Welcome Center at 3120 S Babcock St, Melbourne, Fl 32901. Students will collect their keys and Florida Tech IDs here before proceeding to their assigned dorms. Phone number for the Security Welcome Center is (321) 674-8112 if there are any issues. It is open 24/7.
	Check-out: Students must inform the Center prior to departure to receive check-out instructions.

Center Registration

On the first day (Monday) of registration and orientation: All new students should arrive to the center at 8:15 am to register for classes, and attend orientation. Students will be emailed a link to the Placement Test prior to arrival.

If a holiday falls on a first Monday, ELS Centers will be open only to register newly arriving students.
