      • Students requesting residence will be assigned to one of the FIT dorms located in the quad
      • ELS Melbourne Host families give ELS students rides to and from the Center, Monday through Friday.

      Description:

      The homestay families at ELS Melbourne are always eager to welcome students into their homes! Come experience American culture (family life, meals, entertainment) in a safe, comfortable home in Melbourne. You also have the opportunity to meet other language learners as well as practice your English with the homestay family.

      Meals: 19 meals per week (full board on weekdays and half board on weekends).
      Min Age:

      18*

      *The age range for the Melbourne dorm is 18-30 years old.
      Key/Damage: Not required, but students are expected to sign a housing damage form indicating responsibility to pay for any damage they may cause.
      Description: Florida Institute of Technology Campus Residences are located on Florida Tech's campus, just steps away from the ELS center. They offer traditional style dorm rooms, providing students the access to easily meet lifelong friends.

      All dorms provide:
      • Shared on-campus dorm rooms
      • Shared hallway bathrooms
      • Rooms equipped with desks, chairs, lamps, mini-fridge, and small microwave
      • Linens free of charge
      • Self-service laundry machines are available in or near the dorms.
      • Resident Assistants on each floor or wing.

      Please note that students booking the dorms are also required to completed the following link at least two weeks prior to arrival:

      After completing the link, the student or agent should email a headshot or clear selfie against a plain white background to the Center Director, Derek Thomas, at dthomas@els.edu to complete the process. If these steps are not taken, the student will NOT be able to check in to the dorms.
      Reserved by: Reserve through ELS Central Admissions at the time of the application. Housing deposit is required to reserve.
